Speaking of opportunities…

Don’t forget to register for our upcoming Church Retreat that is happening at Green Hill Lake Camp from June 25-27. We are hoping that everyone will get a chance to join us over that weekend! This will be a great opportunity to relax and enjoy some time together as a church family. Registration forms are available at the church and we need to know ahead of time that you are coming so that we can plan for meals (and child care-for those who need it).

Making the Most of Every Opportunity

Colossians 4:5 (NLT)

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.

I came across this verse during some Bible reading time this morning. Short but powerful, I realized that if I took this verse to heart it might just change my day!

I don’t know about you but wisdom is something I need on a daily basis. It seems like almost everyday I run into something that is too big for me to handle. Can you relate? That’s when I rely (or should rely) on God-given, Spirit-guiding wisdom. I must admit some days that wisdom seems a little harder to gain access to but it’s there. I know it’s there because I know God is there! Waiting for wisdom is not always easy (who really likes to wait for anything these days after all) but it is worth it.

The second part of this verse reminds me that everyday is a gift from God and brings with it all kinds of opportunities! Those of us who are wise will accept the gift and make the most of everyday-living life to the fullest and bringing God glory each and every day!
