Yesterday was a slippery day. We had a little snow, a little rain, some freezing rain all because of the fluctuating temperatures. Of course that’s a recipe that produces both a day off school for the kids and a few car accidents! Such conditions can make for some dangerous walking. I heard a few stories of folks taking a tumble yesterday. One has to be very careful this time of year, even that first step out the door in the morning can be a tricky one!

Life can be tricky as well. There are all kinds of things that come upon us. Many of us face struggles and challenges on a regular basis. There are all kinds of things that can trip us up and cause us to slip. We can slip away from God, our family or friends. We can slip into all kinds of dangerous, destructive and sinful behavior. We have to be careful! Sometimes we know we are on thin ice and other times we are unaware, ending up in a situation or position we never saw coming.

However, the good news is no matter how we ended up slipping, God wants us to reach out and lean on Him for support!

Psalm 94:18 says, When I said, “My foot is slipping,” your love O Lord, supported me.

With some fresh snow in the forecast this promises to be a great event. All 18-30 year-olds are invited out to join the fun. Don’t feel like going outdoors, that’s okay there will be some inside games as well after lunch!
