Douglas Baptist has always been a church that supported mission work, both locally and globally. Over the last ten years we have given away over $500, 000 to worthy organizations and causes! For many years we have partnered with Canadian Baptist Ministries to help with work in Africa.
This year we are sending a team of 10 from our church to work with our missionary partners (the Groves-see picture below) in Cameroon, Africa. Our team will be heading to Cameroon on Thursday, August 2 and will return on Friday, August 17. Our tickets have been booked, the projects we will be working on are being finalized, and vaccinations are coming soon! In less than 6 months we will be on the ground in Cameroon.
Your prayer support for this ministry project would be greatly appreciated. We ask that you pray not only for our team but also for the people of Cameroon as they deal with many challenges that are not present in our country.
Of course, an opportunity like this also requires financial support. We are praising God for his faithfulness as He has provided through many family, friends and church members.
