She Matters featuring Cheryl Bear in Song & Story

posted 19 Aug 2017, 09:42 by Peter Moore
Douglas Baptist Church is partnering with Canadian Baptist Ministries and supporting the She Matters Campaign. CBM’s She Matters Campaign seeks to highlight global gender inequity and in 2017 is focusing on issues facing Indigenous women in Canada.

CBM has invited singer/songwriter and Indigenous Leader Cheryl Bear from the Nadleh Whut’en community in Northern British Columbia, to be our She Matters spokesperson for this upcoming year. Cheryl is an award-winning performer and educator who shares stories of Indigenous life — the joy, sorrow, faith, and journey.

Come here Cheryl share in song and story on Sunday, August 27 at 10:30am. A nursery and kids program will be provided (up to grade 5). As well we will be having a BBQ after the concert.
